Red Dead Redemption 2 is a long game even by open-world standards. Just following Arthur Morgan's story to the credits averages around 50 hours—slower than many campaigns because the game is deliberately paced, with lots of travel, cutscenes and downtime at camp. Engaging the side content (side missions, hunting, fishing, Strangers questlines and the epilogue's activities) brings it to roughly 80 hours. Full completion is a marathon at around 175–185 hours, driven by 100% checklist items: every collectible set, all challenges, high honor, weapon and outfit collections, and Red Dead Online is separate on top of that. Most players land somewhere between the main and 'main + extras' figures.
