The requirements shown are for the modern PC 'Enhanced' edition, which is noticeably heavier than the 2015 original because it adds ray tracing, higher-resolution assets, 3D audio and DirectStorage support. Even so, GTA V remains one of the more scalable AAA games: it will run on modest hardware at lower settings, and the recommended RTX 3060 tier is now mid-range. An SSD is mandatory for the Enhanced build (it lists 105 GB SSD), and a DirectStorage-capable NVMe drive helps most with GTA Online streaming. If you only meet minimum specs, target 1080p with medium settings and expect to disable ray tracing. Note that the original 2015 PC release survives as a separate 'Legacy' edition with much lower requirements (a Core 2 Quad / Phenom-class CPU and a GTX 660-era GPU) for older machines. Steam Deck: GTA V lost its 'Verified' rating after Rockstar added BattlEye anti-cheat, so treat Deck compatibility as unofficial and check current community reports before buying.
