Is GTA V on Game Pass or PS Plus?
As of July 2026, Grand Theft Auto V is NOT on any major subscription catalog: it left Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on April 15, 2026, and left PS Plus Extra/Premium on May 20, 2026. It has never been part of EA Play (GTA is a Rockstar title, not EA). Rockstar does include GTA V in its own GTA+ subscription, but that is a separate paid membership, not one of the standard console catalogs. Given GTA V's history of rotating on and off both services, always check the live catalog.

Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most notorious 'rotating' titles on subscription services, and its 2025-2026 run followed the same pattern. It returned to Xbox Game Pass (Console, Cloud and PC) in April 2025 and to the PS Plus Extra/Premium Game Catalog in November 2025, only to be pulled from Game Pass on April 15, 2026 and from PS Plus on May 20, 2026 - both consistent with Rockstar's habit of capping GTA V's catalog stays at roughly three to six months. The game has cycled onto and off these services repeatedly (2020, 2021, 2023, 2025 on Game Pass), so a 'currently unavailable' status is rarely permanent, and another return is entirely possible, especially around the November 19, 2026 launch of GTA VI.
Because of this constant churn, treat any snapshot as a moment in time rather than a fixed fact. As of July 2026 GTA V is off Game Pass, off PS Plus and was never on EA Play, meaning the only subscription that includes it right now is Rockstar's own GTA+ (about $8/month on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC). Subscription catalogs change monthly, so before assuming GTA V is or isn't 'free' with your plan, verify it directly on the live Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus catalog pages for your region.
