Blizzard's official requirements list 90 GB of available SSD space for the base game on PC, and the install grows over time. The Vessel of Hatred expansion (October 2024) added roughly 40 GB on PC with High-Resolution Assets enabled, or about 25 GB if you untick that option; on console the expansion patch was reported in the 40-80 GB range. Because Diablo IV is a live-service game, each new Season and content patch can push the footprint higher, so budget extra headroom beyond the 90 GB baseline. On PC you can save space in Settings by disabling the optional High-Resolution Asset pack. An SSD is strongly recommended (required at recommended settings) to reduce texture streaming hitches and load times. Sizes vary by platform and patch, so treat these as approximate current figures rather than a fixed number.

Diablo IV — frequently asked

How big is the install and does it grow?
About 90 GB on PC for the base game, growing to roughly 100-120+ GB with the Vessel of Hatred expansion and high-resolution assets. Seasonal patches add more over time, so keep extra SSD space free.
