Diablo IV is part campaign, part endless live-service ARPG, so completion times split sharply. The main story campaign runs roughly 25-35 hours depending on difficulty and how much you detour into dungeons and side quests. Reaching the max level cap and clearing Sanctuary's strongholds, world bosses and endgame systems pushes the average toward ~150 hours, and chasing every achievement climbs higher still. Because seasons reset progress and add new content roughly every few months, there is effectively no 'finished' state for dedicated players, only the length of a single character's journey.
Diablo IV — frequently asked
Does the campaign have an ending, or is it endless?
The story campaign has a definite ending after roughly 25-35 hours, but the endgame is effectively endless: seasons, paragon grinding, world bosses, Nightmare Dungeons and pits keep going indefinitely and new content arrives every season.
