The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a purely single-player, story-driven RPG. It has no co-op, no PvP and no online multiplayer of any kind, so cross-platform play is not a feature and the concept does not apply. Everything you do, from combat to exploration to Gwent, is offline against the game's AI. Because there is no multiplayer, questions about 'playing with friends across platforms' simply do not come up. There is also no official cross-save/cross-progression system that carries a save between, say, PlayStation and PC; progress stays on the platform you play on (cloud saves sync only within the same storefront/ecosystem). If you want to move a playthrough between platforms you would need to restart. The free next-gen update is per-platform as well: owning the game on one platform does not unlock it on another.
