Is Palworld cross-platform?

Yes – Steam, Xbox (and Game Pass), PS5 and Mac players can share worlds; saves and items do not transfer between platforms.

Cross-platform play supported across PC (Steam), Xbox / Microsoft Store, PlayStation 5 and Mac

Sources · Last verified: July 12, 2026.

As of mid-2026 Palworld supports crossplay across PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One / Microsoft Store (including Game Pass), PlayStation 5 and Mac. This was not the case at launch: in early 2024 the Steam build and the Xbox/Microsoft Store build could NOT play together, and dedicated servers were Steam-only. Cross-play was rolled out with the v0.5.0 'Sakurajima' update (March 19, 2025), which unified play across Steam, Xbox and PlayStation 5 (PS5 having joined the game in 2024). To use it, the world host opens the world/co-op settings and enables the Cross-Play toggle – only the host needs to change it – and dedicated servers can enable cross-platform play as well. Two important caveats remain: your character save and items are tied to the platform you play on and do NOT transfer across platforms, and voice chat is platform-specific (players often use Discord for a shared voice channel). Nintendo Switch is not a Palworld platform. Given crossplay policies can change with updates, verify the toggle and platform support in-game for your version.
