Apex Legends is a large install that has grown steadily since launch. On PC the download runs roughly 73-74 GB and needs about 75 GB of free space to install (Steam lists around 75 GB, the Epic Games Store a hair more). Console footprints vary by hardware: the PS5 version is the biggest at roughly 80 GB, Xbox Series X|S sits near 76 GB, while the older PS4 (~57 GB) and Xbox One (~73 GB) builds are somewhat smaller thanks to reduced-resolution assets. The original Nintendo Switch version is far leaner at about 30 GB.

Because Apex is a live-service game, its size is a moving target rather than a fixed number. New seasons, maps, Legends, and event content are added roughly every few months, and major patches can temporarily balloon storage needs during the download-and-unpack step, so it is wise to keep 15-20 GB of headroom free beyond the base install. Installing additional voice-over language packs also adds several gigabytes each. An SSD is strongly recommended for faster level streaming, and the figures above should be treated as approximate and current-as-of-2026 rather than permanent, since they drift upward with almost every update. Always check your storefront for the live download size before installing.
