Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike from One More Level, the Polish studio behind Ghostrunner, published by Lyrical Games. It casts you as William, a fallen soldier of Napoleon's Grande Armee who is dragged back from death by a strange life-preserving fluid that has since twisted much of Europe into a plague-ridden nightmare. Combat leans on precise timing, dual-wielded melee and ranged weapons, and supernatural abilities called Transmutations, with Metroidvania-style unlocks opening new routes through its alternate 19th-century world.
The game launches on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. That date reflects a short delay from an earlier September 24 target, which the team moved for extra polish and to sidestep a crowded autumn release calendar.
