Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is a standalone tactical multiplayer first-person shooter from developer Expression Games and publisher Team17, moving the series from the Second World War to the Vietnam War. Built on Unreal Engine 5, it stages large-scale, combined-arms battles for up to 100 players across six jungle maps. Two factions, the US Armed Forces and the North Vietnamese Army, clash with asymmetric tools such as helicopter troop deployment, hidden tunnel networks, and heavily armed river patrol boats.
The game is confirmed for Thursday, August 13, 2026, after slipping from its original June 18 date following open-beta and internal playtest feedback. It launches on the same day across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with PC players able to buy through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. The Standard Edition is priced at $39.99, and a Deluxe Edition is available at $59.99.
Anticipation stems from the original Hell Let Loose and its reputation for punishing, methodical squad warfare, now reimagined in a new era and setting. The Vietnam backdrop introduces mechanics the WWII game never had, from air mobility and guerrilla tunnel tactics to riverine combat.
