No cross-platform play (single-player game)

Starfield has no multiplayer of any kind, so there is nothing to play cross-platform. It is a purely single-player RPG that can be played offline, with no co-op, no shared universe and no PvP. As a result crossplay is not applicable. Cross-progression is also limited: there is no official cross-save that syncs a campaign between PC, Xbox and PS5, so switching platforms generally means starting fresh (PC saves can be moved between the Steam and Xbox PC versions via Bethesda/cloud in some cases, but there is no console-to-PC transfer). The game is on Xbox Game Pass, which lets you play on Xbox consoles and PC under one subscription, but that is not the same as crossplay or a shared save. Bottom line: whether you own it on PC, Xbox Series X|S or the 2026 PS5 release, Starfield is a self-contained single-player experience.
