Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a story-driven action-adventure from developer Asobo Studio and publisher Focus Entertainment, and a prequel within the A Plague Tale universe. It follows Sophia, the seafaring character first introduced in A Plague Tale: Requiem, on a voyage to the fabled Minotaur's Island near the Greek island of Crete. Rather than the pure survival-stealth of Amicia's earlier journeys, Resonance leans into genuine action combat, arming Sophia with a sword for chained strikes and a dagger for situational Critical Strikes, alongside the series' hallmark environmental puzzles and a dual-timeline mechanic that lets players shift between eras.
The game arrives on August 27, 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. On Xbox and PC it is included day one with Xbox Game Pass and supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so progress carries across console and PC. Pre-orders are open at digital storefronts and major retailers, with the standard edition listed at $49.99 and a pre-order bonus called The Heritage Pack; no collector's edition has been officially detailed at this time.
