Rayman Legends Retold is a full remake of the beloved 2013 platformer Rayman Legends, rebuilt by Ubisoft Milan and Ubisoft Montpellier. The game moves the hand-drawn adventure into the Snowdrop engine, layering three-dimensional visuals over the fast, precise side-scrolling gameplay fans remember. Rayman, Globox, Barbara, and Grand Minimus all return, joined this time by full voice acting and a batch of brand-new content.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Rayman Legends Retold launches on Thursday, October 1, 2026, arriving on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on the same day. The Standard Edition carries a suggested price of $39.99 and bundles in Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, while a Deluxe Edition adds a Retro cosmetic pack and an in-game Art Gallery. Pre-orders are open across the major storefronts, and the game is also set to be available through Ubisoft+ Premium at launch.
It has been more than a decade since the last mainline Rayman platformer, so anticipation for a fresh take on Legends runs high. Retold leans into that nostalgia while expanding the package with a new sixth realm, additional levels, four new musical stages, dragon-riding sequences, and the return of the Cave of Bad Dreams. With up to four-player local co-op and returning series composers Christophe Heral and Grant Kirkhope, the remake aims to win back longtime fans and introduce the Glade of Dreams to a new generation.
