Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is an open-world arcade racer from Italian studio Milestone, built on Mattel's die-cast toy-car license. Instead of the enclosed orange-track courses of earlier Hot Wheels games, it turns players loose in a Hot Wheels-scale world made up of four themed islands to explore freely. The game features more than 150 collectible vehicles split across four classes, and each island is ruled by a boss known as a Rush Master that you must defeat to claim their car and title.
The game launches on September 24, 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99, with Deluxe ($79.99) and Ultimate ($99.99) editions layering in extra vehicle packs and a Vehicle Pass; Ultimate buyers also get up to three days of early access ahead of the global launch. Pre-orders are already open across the major storefronts.
Milestone is positioning Infinite Rush as its most ambitious Hot Wheels project yet, swapping single tracks for a full sandbox with split-screen play for up to four people and cross-play online multiplayer. Longtime fans are watching the upgraded track builder, which adds a ground-snapping system and lets you weave courses through the open world, while expanded livery and wheel editors give collectors more ways to personalize their fleet. With a firm date and open pre-orders, the wait is now about seeing how well the free-roam formula holds up at launch.
