What IS known, from EA Sports FC 26 (the current game): cross-play works across the SAME console generation. That means PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC players can match together, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players form a separate cross-play pool with each other; the two generations do NOT mix. Nintendo Switch is not part of the cross-play pool and has its own transfer market, and PC also has a separate FUT transfer market from consoles. Cross-play is on by default and can be toggled off in the matchmaking/online settings. It covers most online modes — Ultimate Team (Division Rivals, FUT Champions, Online Draft, Play a Friend, Squad Battles Co-Op, Rivals Co-Op, Rush and Friendlies), Clubs/Pro Clubs, Online Seasons, Co-Op Seasons and more. Cross-progression for Ultimate Team only carries within the same platform family (e.g. PS5 to PS4), not across brands. For FC 27 specifically, EA has not yet published its cross-play rules; the strong expectation is that this same-generation model continues, but treat FC 27 details as unconfirmed until the official reveal (expected around July 2026).
