Gothic III Classic is a console conversion of Piranha Bytes' sprawling 2006 open-world action RPG. Set across the war-torn continent of Myrtana, it hands you the series' Nameless Hero and a near-boundary-free world to explore, letting you throw in with rebels, orcs, or other factions as the story unfolds. Class-free progression means you shape a warrior, mage, or ranged fighter yourself, drawing on more than 50 spells and over 100 weapons.
THQ Nordic is releasing Gothic III Classic on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, closing out its Gothic Classic trilogy rollout after Gothic Classic and Gothic II Complete Classic. It arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 for $29.99 / €29.99, with the Switch 2 physical version sold as a Game-Key Card. Pre-orders are already live at retailers including Amazon and Best Buy.
This marks the first time Gothic III has been brought to modern consoles, with tailor-made gamepad controls and a reworked UI meant to smooth over the notoriously fiddly PC original.
